Daniel van Helden

Consultant

Daniel van Helden is involved, social, focused on people, positively critical, but also quickly distracted, perfectionistic. These are his trademarks, both as a professional and as a human being. From his studies Labour and Organisational Psychology, and his longstanding experience with several assessment consultancies, his passion for selecting and developing people has brought him a role as associate consultant with AVOP. A realistic outlook on the manufacturability of people and organisations enable him to acquire a context-based, honest image of candidates, when it comes to adaptability and feasible personal growth. He specifically values establishing a personal click with candidates and creating a setting of trust. Thus, room for depth arises, along with the insights, required to obtain an image of the candidate’s key qualities, drivers and points for development, in relation to the organisational context. His advice is a combination of faith in diligent work, perseverance, ‘measuring is key’, drive, but also acceptance and realism when it comes to the stubbornness of everyday practice and the tenacity and inflexibility of certain habits and character traits. For him, a small but fully experienced change that is in line with the candidate’s character, is the greatest reward that the work can provide.
