Who

My name is Jeffrey Schenk (1976), consultant with AVOP and from this role, I am, among other, involved in career development, outplacement and assessments. In 2017, I joined the AVOP team, coming from a commercial role within an HR service provider. Prior to that, I have spent years in the world of recruitment (both within consultancy and the corporate side). My background is HR (Staffing & Organisation) and psychology (Social & Organisation Psychology). With my business-oriented, HR and commercial background, paired with my studies psychology, I know how to strike a proper balance between people-orientation and business.

Coaching questions

Indeed, the above ensures a good sense of what the job market wants, how to approach this and how to ‘sell’ yourself. People with questions about their career (“Am I still in the right spot?” or          “I want something else but I don’t know what”), who are required to look for a new position or who want to approach the job market, can call on me.

Work method

“Client-orientation” and working from the need of the participant, and as such, offering tailor-made work, and never following the same trajectory. That is what I believe in and what I am successful at. You can expect me to ask tough questions, and having a mirror held up before you. But always in a pleasant, constructive and positive atmosphere. In addition, you can also expect me to do what you need (since it is primarily your process), to be by your side every step of the way (so, indeed, we do it together), to think along with you and to share the wealth of my network and experience with you.
